December 4th, 1989. It was my first, I was 16, and the Vegas thing wasn't that much of a crime in '89 (we didn't know we'd be getting the same thing for 18 more years). Plus Bill was still in the bands, so it still felt like a legitimate "band" back then.

best city to see 'em in. san francisco, closely followed by boston.

slane castle will always be the most unique show.

out of 75 shows i'd say 60 have blown the top of my head off.

first union arena 99.

The double door club was special, but not the best. That would either be Milwaukee 2005 with Buddy Guy, All Down the Line alone made this special.or St Louis 1989. Been to more than 20 shows, and when Keith is on, like he was these two shows, it is a whole different story. Vegas Stones my Ass, they were rocking.

I'd probably rank the Budokan Licks show up there; the Beacon was cool for the fact that it was such an "event" and I managed to get a ticket for $28 although I didn't like the show itself that much; and of course, the O2 Arena will always be a sentimental favorite if they never get back out there again.

We'll see . . . . .

That was the Let It Bleed night.

Best of the three for me too and in fact the best Stones concert I've ever been at.

Love to have a copy of that if anyone's got one or can point me in the right direction.

Oakland 99 1st date of the No security tour, Normaly the first show on a tour is a little rough but they were on fire that night and a superb unexpected set list to boot.

Brixton 1995. No brainer for me - I went to Rock 'n' Roll heaven and back.

My first exposure to Stones and greatest memories - Prague 1990 , but music wise I think the best was Prague 1995.

There was a lot of buzz about Mick Taylor joining the band back then, and we were all looking forward to seeing just how the band would sound. I'll tell you, his slide guitar came through smooth and sweet and just so bluesy. I was with about 15 friends, we had a row of 12 seats and a few behind us. We were simply blown away that night. We kept looking at each other with "Can you believe this?" expressions on our faces.

I've ranked my Stones shows by a few different categories:

Most excitement build-up to the show: Philly Sept.26, 1981 ( my first)
a close second in this category, Philly Aug.31, 1989 (opening night, Steel Wheels)

Best performance by the band (judging by the boots): Philly March 15, 1999 ( No Security tour) a close second, January 10, 2003 in Pittsburgh Civic Arena

Favorite show overall: January 10,2003 Pittsburgh, PA (Licks Tour) with a close second January 18, 2003 New York Madison Square Garden HBO show

I was in the second row in Pittsburgh and in the world famous Garden on my birthday.

So what is the result of this poll ?

It is hard for me to say that the '69 Forum show was better than the '72 Forum show I saw, but '69 is certainly my favorite tour and favorite Keith tour. I like the vibe and the guitar work from that tour. Yes, Keith was mesmerizing. And so many classic performances come from that tour. You would be hard pressed to find better ones IMO. But '72 was a different animal all together. My god! Like getting hit by a Mack truck. But the '69 tour was a special moment in time for me and the band. It was the last time it had something to prove.
