I'll second the earlier comment for the Akron Rubber Bowl show in July '72. Even though it was a stadium show, it was a great one. Wish I could find a decent recording of it. The ones I've heard are all quite mediocre.

Cologne 2006 - It was far away from a fantastic show, because Ronnie was off this evening. But this concert showed me, how how fantastic a Glimmer Twins show must have been in the seventies. Keith started most of Ronnies parts and Mick showed us that he's still able to rock a stadium....

Keep on rollin'

1995 - Wembley Stadium, Voodoo Lounge tour.

Best concert by a non-Stones act: easy, Jerry Lee Lewis at Hammersmith Odeon, November 1989. I had an horrendous flu, my limbs ached, and I pushed myself out of my sick-bed to see a legend. The next day I felt better. Proof that good old rock n roll can cure ills.

Schillid - Gotta agree - Stones at the Spectrum in Philly in July 1972 - the first of three shows. Seats weren't great, but me and a friend snuck down front after Stevie Wonder and were about six rows from the band - close enough to toss my hat on the stage (Only security picked it up). Band was smoking and mindful, of course, that the shows were being taped for the live album that was never released. My friend wound up passing out from the heat and I had to drag him back to the middle of the arena where I watched the rest of the show. Great memory, great show.

Brussels, 1973, Forest National. The concert booked for French Audience for the nostalgia but Cleveland 2002 (what a setlist!) is not far.

The Cleveland 2002 show is my favorite post-1989 show as well and my fave of the Licks tour, too. Lots of Exile material and the band was really 'on' that night.

Keith leaned over and dropped his pick in my open hand. Awesome!

Damn! That's too cool.

LA Forum, November 1969. It was a new and different band than the 1966 incarnation. I was just mesmerized.

Nice! I would have loved to have seen them on the 69 tour but was too young back then.

For me it was my first Stones concert at MSG, NYC in 1975.

East Lansing, 1994. Perfect night. Friends from all over the country. Sixth row. You could only drink outside so no drunks in the stadium. The 'Stones were firing on all eights as they'd only been on the road a month and weren't bored yet... oh, I could go on and on...

Right you are R! I was at that one, too. Saw them 8 times on VL, East Lansing was the best. Please go on and on...

A little over a month before I'd seen the opening night in DC (hot weather) with one of the friends who saw East Lansing with us. All he could say when it was over was, "Practice..." We saw the Pontiac show a couple months later (after the Miami simulcast). By then it was old news although they did add "It's All Over Now."

I was too young to see them in '72 but my first show was Cleveland '75.

Ah! My first ever Stones gig! For me though, the best Stones gig I ever attended after this one was 29th October, 1994 in Oakland. McParty and I were jumping across the parkig lot with exhilaration after that one!

I was not at all impressed with the 1994 run. I was thrilled to finally see Rocks Off live, but for me 1981 has never been duplicated.

1989 was loads of fun but I was way up front.

Wembley Arena on 29th August 2003 as well. It might have been the Brixton Academy show in 1995 but I was stupid enough to watch that through the haze of a lot of alcohol.....

Giants Stadium - 9/2005...Despite all the negativity I've read here about Keith on the ABB Tour, he was ON FIRE at this gig. This was just a great night. Seats VERY close to the stage and the sound was loud and perfectly mixed. Mick was also on fire and everything and everyone just fell into place to make a great show; not only the music, but the lighting and all was spectacular. It was pure magic from the time the opening video ended and a fiery explosion went off in perfect synch with Keith blasting out the chords to Start Me Up with his right arm swinging high and a kick of his leg. I've got a boot to remind me that I'm not fooling myself that this was a great show!

Which night was that Lee - Let It Bleed, Sticky or Exile? The Let It Bleed one was the best of the 3 for me.

That was the Let It Bleed night.

Best of the three for me too and in fact the best Stones concert I've ever been at.
