Duffle coats.

You got to love Britain in the 50s and 60s.

I quite like them. I had a few of them in my time. I wore one in the 80s when no one else was.

Judging by the number, that was probably one of Honestman's scans originally. I've never seen Jagger&Sons before either.

Even at 13, Mick's face looks instantly recognizable from later photos, whereas most people look completely different when comparing photos taken at age 13 to those at 23, and so on. Mick Jagger will always look like Mick Jagger! I say, 20 more years of Rolling Stones! Start printing tickets for the 2032 tour now...

I wear a duffel coat, too. It's starting to get cold here in England, so I may have to dig it out soon.

Oh, I don't know, a duffle coat, or something similar, can look rather stylish, if worn by the right person.

Stonesnow - Even in 1956 Mick Jagger had "it" he dominates that picure he could be in that picture with a beautiful woman and you'd still be drawn to Mick. There is just something about that mug of his that has so much charisma. Maybe its because he is so recognizable but yeah you are right at 13 years old he lookks like Mick Jagger. his little brother looks nothing like he did ten years later.

I'm sure everyone here must have seen this clip at one time or another, but this thread is a good place for it: Mick's first TV appearance in 1959 modeling gym shoes from the children's program Seeing Sport.

Aren't they sometimes called 'Monty coats', after General Montgomery?
