As a non-guitar player, those things are so enlightening. It's hard for us ngp's to pick out particular lines and imagine them. Cool!

How fun is that! My God! I watched Keith play that song in '69. Not that close, of course. But he made it and everything else look SO easy. Very pure. You take what you can get and be grateful for it, but one can wish the camera was more on the guitar players and especially Keith in GS, the movie.

Actually, I think that is happyhotstar. Just watched SFTD and he plays both solos. Great fun to watch.

No, it is some happyhotstar, he has some other nice Stones' covers up there as well.

I just checked privettricker's channel and he hasn't done Little Queenie (yet). And yeap, he has a lot of Stones' covers on his channel, some very good.

Right or wrong is a somewhat relative term. I'd guess Chuck Berry would have some comments about Keith's playing. In fact I think he did. In any event, that is a fun performance to watch backed by a wonderful performance by the band. But I love all that '69 stuff.

I still say the Pittsburgh '72 tape is a guitar players dream recording with almost complete separation of the guitars in the channels. Want to be Keith and play along with Taylor? Or vice versa? Just turn the balance knob one way or the other.

Give the guy some credt Mathijs. He gets the groove and the feel down pretty well and that is after the most important thing.

My comment was not for the player, but for the guy whom started this thread with 'this guy nails Keith's guitar part'.

Am not interested in bands who only wish they were the Rolling Stones.

Real success comes from originality.

Little Queenie was written by Chuck Berry

Thanks for explaining who wrote the song. DUH!

I think what Chris Fountain is trying to say is that, like the guitar player in the video, the Stones weren't being very "original" when they covered Little Queenie pretty much exactly the way Chuck did it.

When you compare Hendrix's Watchtower with Dylan's, there's a big difference in how Jimi approached the song. But Keith pretty much did all his Chuck Berry licks here.

You got the Sun, You got the Moon,
and you've got
The Rolling Stones
