If the Stones doing more live shows meant that we get an influx of superrevvy insanity then I'm really sorry the Stones announced live shows.

There's no need to nitpick and pull out of context the way I wrote something
in two minutes, running a few thoughts together in the same sentence. I didn't
mean to imply that Gazza called these shows incredibly high risk when they were
leaked, I'm the one who called them that. Gazza leaked the shows, I said it was
ridiculous because they were too high risk, and that Jagger the businessman
would never do that.

And I still say its a ridiculously risky move. The only thing thats changed is
that I now think the Stones are actually gonna do it, where before I thought it
was just more disinfo from Gazza's sources.

Jagger's history during the Vegas era has been to tightly control risk, and now
he is apparently making one of the riskiest moves in the history of
show business. Putting the truth of the Stones on HQ video for the whole
world to see BEFORE selling 2013 tickets.

You think the Stones can play lousy or even mediocre on this pay per view and
still do a big bucks tour next year? No way. If they play lousy or mediocre, as
I said, its essentially over. If fact, as I also said, because the pay per view
ruins the curiousity/novelty factor, they have to play a particularly exciting
show on the pay-per-view or no big tour will succeed.

And, now that I think about it some more, Gazza did imply that these
shows were high risk because he was the first one to put forth the idea
that these shows were to see if the Stones were good enough to tour.
I mean, usually established showbiz acts audition behind closed doors for
potential backers. But here they are going to do their audition on world
wide TV, like american idol or something.

Unprecedented. Gigantically risky. And gigantically courageous and exciting.

Man oh man do I wish I was back in NJ in December. I'd pay big to get a decent
seat at that pay per view show. The fate of the Stones and therefore to some
extent the fate of their fans will be decided that night. NEVER has so much
ridden on just one show. Its do or die. The Thrilla with the Gorilla!

WTF?!

What's "Unprecedented"?? ...a rock 'n' roll band over-charging for one of their shows and people still stupid enuff to buy?

What's "risky"?? ...with the tix sales alone they rake in at least $25 Mil !!

What's "courageous"?? ...daring to scam the public?? It's been done before, and unfortunately, it will be done again...

And What's so "exciting"?? I think i'd rather spend a week on the beach in Jamaica...

150 sounds good, behind the stage should be no problem if they use the tongue-stage. i hope i will be lucky enough to get 2 tickets tomorrow for the saturday show, already booked the fligt from austria on the 14th!

I just pulled up a Block 106 ticket for Nov 29 on Ticketmaster. Might still be available, I already have a 112.

I'm thinking I might save some bucks and just go to the one show on Dec. 13th, instead of
trying for the second one. I just might watch that on PPV TV.

So, the US shows are even more expensive than the UK shows, right? Amazing.

They always have been.

US wages are significantly higher than they are in the UK.

Surprisingly though, the US shows have a bottom ticket price of $95. Which is about two thirds of what the lowest ticket price is for the London gigs.

Mind you, there appears to have been about ten tickets per show in each category so I wouldnt get too worked up about it!

I ended up with a $250 seat which is very high up and not worth what I paid for it, but it was the best I could do. I'm still happy to be in the house for the 13th! I know they will rock my world even if there are mistakes, in fact I love the little imperfections. Thats what makes the The Stones special! I love them all so much and am VERY EXCITED to be seeing them in December.

Been there, done that. It's not very exciting. In fact after the first day it's pretty damn boring. I'll take the Stones.

Keith could walk out on stage at the PPV, fart in the mic and pass out and they'd still sell out a 2013 tour if they keep the dates and cities limited.

What are the chances of me getting a <$400 solo ticket, for either of the December shows?

I would say pretty good if you don't mind sitting far, far away from the stage.

Wait for the people who paid $1000+ to start leaving halfway through the concert. They always seem to... Then move up to the good seats if available.
