Bigger Bang remastered?

I have been out of the loop for a while now, so please pardon this n00b question:

Why was the 'Bigger Bang' release remastered? Wasn't it already digital enough? Were there extra bits added (16-bits not enough?)?(http://rollingstones.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=150_24328&pc=RSCD67)

Remaster = money for old rope = just give us more money.

Just who doesn't like dynamics removing from old music?

Why was the 'Bigger Bang' release remastered?

It was sloppy done from the beginning...I got 3 copys of it, and none of them sounds good....

Come to think of it, I'm beginning to wonder if this remastering business is a bit overrated. I pulled an old CD of Pink Floyd's out recently, the early 80s compilation Works, and I was thinking to myself how much I liked those original [CD] mixes, the mellow gracefulness of Fearless, for instance. But when I put on the remastered version of Meddle, that same track Fearless sounds big and clunky, and a lot of what struck me about the Works version gets lost.

I think the next step in remastering is to get back to the way the music should sound, like what Pete Townshend did with the Quadrophenia remaster--aim for the warmth of the original vinyl mixes. The music--and your favorite artists--will sound a lot better.

As they say in the business, you can't polish a turd!

"A Bigger Bang" suffers from too much compression and too much loudness. It can be heard when Mick's voice cracks and sounds like he were shouting all the time and it can be heard when Charlie's cymbals crash and after the initial hit, you hear a digital sizzle sound.

That's what should be fixed in remastering this album. "A Bigger Bang"'s predecessor "40 Licks" was well mastered, so why did they mess up their most recent album's sound like this?
Here's hoping "Under the Radar" and the extended mix of "Don't Wanna Go Home" make it onto the remastered CD as bonus tracks.

But please keep the bass levels in control. There is no need to cater to iPod earbuds.

A Bigger Bang should just be demastered.

I can't listen to it. Makes my ears hurt.Same goes for most of the Universal remasters
There was a boot of early mixes that improves the loudness /compression issues.

Remastered music = louder, more compressed, lost dynamics music.

I also hope for a "demastered ABB".

They must've done it for "the young people" and all that crap that someone here thinks the 'Moves Like Jagger' crowd is "into".

Which explains why -348 people bought it.

Obviously there needs to be less 'trying' and more 'doing'. Come StonesTod, no sittin' down on your butt, the world don't owe you, you'll start to lose your nuts, don't you look seedy!
