Great, I wonder how they fixed the missing piece of film that's marring the bootlegs.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Yes I have the bootleg DVD - pretty good. Is that the show where Townsend has about 5 identical looking boldly numbered guitars. Always confused me that.

Andy.

This will be cool to get. I have loved this concert since I first saw it. While it has its flaws both visually and performance wise (Townshend forgets the words to However Much I Booze, even though he has the lyrics in front of him) its still one I can't wait to get. Hopefully they'll include other footage from the 75 tour!

I kind of thought those numbered gold top Les Pauls were indicating different tunings,
but I am not knowledgeable enough to shed more light on the subject. Does anyone know?

Yes they must be different tunings. Odd that he just doesn't use some different looking guitars unless he got them from Gibson for free. He uses No.2 quite a lot in the gig anyway.

Regarding the numbers indicating alternate tunings, so it would seem...Pete's Les Pauls

Not different tunings, different modifications.
