And that's great. Keep it that way.

Great thread! thumbs up

There's 2 acoustics on that, reckon they are both Keith?

I do, but just wondering what others think.

Sounds very much like they're both Keith.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Keith once said he never plays an electric guitar at home. He only plays acoustic guitars at home, to sort of force him to keep in touch with what he thinks is a vital instrument.

It's Keith's acoustic guitar underneath it all that drives Brown Sugar.

Yep. And Street Fighting Man, and Loving Cup and Jumpin' Jack Flash and, and and......

All electric guitars are just trying to be acoustic guitars or saxophones imho... Thats why these new Taylor Electrics will likely make such a great impression on anyone who is lucky enough to give them a ride.

The magic maybe somehow related to the acoustic vibrations that enter the body first, then the ears. Nothing like cradling a big dreadnaught that is in perfect tune and letting it tell you what to do next.

Love this thread. Thanks His Majesty. It's all new to me and I am VERY appreciative. peace

Great thread.

I love that acoustic jam session from Voodoo Lounge sessions..the bootleg, God what was it called..Voodoo Brew or somethin', name escapes me, anyway.. with Keith playing songs like Cocaine, Girl From North Country, Goodbye To Love, Brand New Heartache, etc..on his own with the acoustic guitar, - you know the one I mean, - That's one of my favourite Stones/Keith bootlegs ever.

What about the tiny snippet of Ventilator Blues that I hear on the Stones in Exile DVD? In the part where Charlie is talking over it telling the story orf Bobby Keys standing next to him, clapping out his idea for Charlie to play, and says "Ventilator Blues that's the good one on there.

It's a slightly different from the record but remarkeably poinant and memorable acoustic resonator guitar VB intro. Not sure if it's available on a boot or if Don Was just nicked it from the vaults for the Documentary. Made me sit up and listen that's for sure. peace

And, would you believe, this Beatles cover.

Those have been available for years.

Yes, and Stones music--and fan clubs--have been available for decades. Lots of stuff posted in this thread has been available for years. So what's your point, then?

Simply because you said you have a bootleg called Acoustic Motherf*ckers with those songs on it when those songs have been available on the Voodoo boots eons ago. You act as if it's a miracle that those songs are on the boot espcially the Beatles song. That's the point, which I thought was obvious.

I only picked up the Acoustic boots 3 years ago and have only been collecting boots for the last 5 years, so I didn't grab the Voodoo boots eons ago, so yes I "act as if it's a miracle" because I'm enthusiastic--and that's what this forum is for, innit, sharing our enthusiasm? Is everyone supposed to reside in your head and pick up on these things at the exact same time you did? Sheesh!

By the way, WeLoveToGiveTheBlues, thanks so much for taking an otherwise marvelous, spirited thread to somewhere else entirely

Oh trust me. I'm not the first to say such a thing nor did I say it as... bad as I've seen it.
