Caravan is a typical album group and it's hard to pick out the best songs. The best albums are If I Could Do It Again,I'd Do It All Over You and In The Land Of Pink And Grey. If I should pick out songs, I would probably choose For Richard, Winter Wine and Nine Feet Underground.
The same can be said about The Electric Prunes. Their most famous song is the hit I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) but their best album is their second, Underground.
Walking is right ... and, other good tunes they had:
"Shadows" "You Never Had It Better"
Now, the classical LPs really can't be called Prunes LPs, rather David Axelrod LPs. Much of the group had disbanded during the "Mass in F Minor" initial recordings, and then posers took over the name.
2001's "Artifact" had decent moments, with the first track, "Lost Dream", a real lost masterpiece. I've not heard the subsequent LPs "California" and "Feedback", but sound bytes indicate they're not as good.
Lastly, Jim Lowe has indicated he may wrap the group for good.
Only remember "I Had too Much to Dream Last Night" and the album "Mass in F Minor" which were both really rather mind blowing and innovative at the time, I guess 1967? Loved them both, quintessential, historical examples of psychedelic music for sure.
