Doesn't matter anymore. The days of wishes are over. We should be glad if they remember some of the warhorses. Richards playing, or not playing, can be fixed with the guys behind the amps. A more worrying thing is Jagger's voice. Will it hold up for more than 5 gigs before going completely nasal beyond acceptance?
When I heard Hand Of Fate on Spotify, from the Licks tour, the B-side or whatever it was for some single, I was
mortified horrified. It reminded me of that 'performance' of Crazy Mama from the Double Door. The other night Loving Cup from SAL came on the radio, whatever Siruis XM station it was at this goofy place to eat - and I was floored by how bad it was. I don't recall it sounding that bad at the movie but I do recall it sounding quite weak on the album. But to hear it all by itself...wow.
Why can't they play those kind of songs well when they can still rip the shit out of Midnight Rambler and a few others but they can't even cover themselves imitating themselves playing a somewhat obscure tune?
