I was there. He went in to Darlington County and had to switch guitars. That sort of left the band hanging on the chord that begins Honky Tonk Women (I think it's a D chord). It just sort of went from there. He did the first verse and chorus to HTW and went in to Darlington County from there. Pretty cool! I think there's already a video on Youtube.

(Seeing this clip, I make a note to myself never to forget to avoid stadium shows.)

But anyway: The Boss knows his classics and that's cool! I like the way he takes his band on tow
for an improvisation like that. I've seen him doing a bit of Gimme Shelter during Shelter Cover me (edit: thank you Gazza for correcting me) in 1988.

'Cover Me', I presume you mean, Marco!

He's done the HTW intro to Darlington County a few times down the years since 1999.
