Looking at Jade's painting, its very Ross Bleckner-esque....a friend of her mother's.
I didn't see the Apple. Is it a Pro or Book?

Wonder why they didn't show Mick's private writing room with the faded navy blue sofa filled with dregs of stale popcorn betwen the cusions?

And, of course, his favorite footstool. SHE refused to let him have a Lazy Boy Recliner.

Pretty classy but not a guitar in sight.

So much for Mick writing for the common man. No wonder he can't write songs like he did in 1971, kinda like the last few records, stale and whitewashed to ambiguity.

In our house we have a saying, clean enough to be healthy dirty enough to be happy. Something's missing in those shots if ya know what I mean. Not a place you'd expect Keith to be lolling about. lol

I wish Patti would do a similar spread on Keith and her CT house. Like Keith's library on the back cover of life, I'll bet it at least looks lived in.

Just not my cup of tea I guess. peace

L'Wren's house in Hollywood:

[realestalker.blogspot.it]

the hollywood house was the imaginative work of someone on a budget.

this paris thing is monotonous to the point of being in bad taste.
too big a budget, too little imagination.

and mick ain't showing it off as his place. she's showing it off as hers.
she's become mostly a business woman now, and its starting to show.
her whole world is starting to look like a (hip) office.

even her fashion now is just barely holding on to its bohemian edge.
i never thought i would actually start preferring stella mccartney's designs.

So true! The few shots of Keith's house show a lot more soul. But to be fair, this isn't Mick's place, but you would have thought his imprint would have been more evident. It is cold and clinical with too many kitschy nick knacks.

Dear iorr fans:
Ok. It is posh. But never forget "We'll piss anywhere man"
Regards. Mick

Dear Mick:
Do not even think about it. You could sleep in the coach again.
Regards. L'wren.

For Nellcote, yes I think this is the agent - but hard to find the house. I searched under Cap Ferrat / Villefranche but there's too many to look through.

It's a posh crash pad for jet-setters. I like it and it is probably more comfortable and private than the Ritz, which is closed for the summer by the way.

It's her place in the city while he has the house in the country. Whatever works for them, man. Whatever works for them.

Can you imagine how hard a couple of slaves have to work to keep that bathroom looking pristine?

Exactly what I thought - look at all those acres of glass waiting to show the smallest fingerprint - and all that pale paint and white furniture in the other rooms to keep spotless... But then if you know Vogue is coming to take pictures you'll have the slaves working overtime and make sure anything that looks remotely human, lived-in or (horror!) unfashionable is banished to the uttermost depths of the darkest cupboard. At least, you will if you are the average Vogue home-owner. I suspect it might be quite comfortable - if anyone ever actually made themselves at home in it.

Mick's come a long way from Edith Grove, hasn't he!

I found it rather cold and lacking warmth. I'm sure Keith would agree. It just doesn't give you a cosy feel.

Why on Earth should Keith even have an opinion about L'Wren's apartment?
This is her place on display - she does not speak about Jagger and she deliberately does not show his rooms: there are not his study or library or bedroom or any other area (not even that TV corner they talk about) at any picture. Since this is a coverage for the Vogue - it is specifically devoid of the aura of her everyday life, it's all about a style. She's first and foremost a designer, not Jagger's girlfriend
If you want to see Jagger's place - guitars ( lot of them), books, kids - watch Being Mick

I recall a description of Mick's house on Cheyne Walk in the 60s; it featured a lot of exotic Moroccan things. Same as his house in Richmond that he shared with Jerry. Looking at those photos, it really drives it home what Mick is really like now. Yes, he left the décor to L'Wren, but he lives there, at least part-time, and very likely wouldn't allow décor that he disliked or felt uncomfortable in. I have no quarrel with elegance and understated style, and with our tastes evolving as time passes. But to me, this new Paris apartment really is the last word in nondescript dullness.

what i mean i think is what i've noted before, that recently her body
language towards Mick has changed, and her interview style and...

i keep thinking hopefully i'm wrong and then she authorizes an obnoxious
photo like the one below. i mean why doesn't she just dye her hair blond
and start talking with a texas accent and let the transformation be complete...

Bliss, my comment about Mick's "writing room" was meant to be humorous. Not factual.

Superrevy, your comments about Mick's woman are uncalled for. I know that I'm not alone in feeling this way. Do you ever find time to listen to music instead of critizing people you have never met?

And while I'm expressing myself, I think it's the height of tackiness to even throw in comments about Mick'home versus Keith's. The Richards Family have numerous homes and their main American residence is Vogue caliber.

Unlike you, I hardly ever criticize other people.

But sorry, I don't think she's behaving right towards Mick these days.
And that's coming from historically one of her biggest fans.

You actually approve of her showing off her diamonds like that?
And how about her putting Mick's valentine's day gift of white roses
in a tweet-ad for the underwear company she was working with?

Gross.

And suburban Connecticut is the bastion of bohemia.....lol
L'wren is a designer - this place looks chic and elegant. And you're right, Mary.....there is nothing in these photos or in this feature that puts Mick's personal life on display. I think people are reading too much into this.

Jerry Hall was a virtual reality show for 30 years. L'wren is discreet by comparison.

Yeah you're actually quite correct here Mary, In the context you so rightly focused our ADD minds this does indeed show style and design very neatly. Almost musuem-esqe in that sense, just what she wanted and it worked. I give in to your view of the spread. Thanks. peace
