New Ronnie Wood song to debute on CSI Miami
Posted by: Lien ()
Date: April 6, 2012 10:02

British rocker Ron Wood, a longtime fan of “CSI: Miami,” has penned a song for the 10th season finale of the crime drama series, CBS said.
“Coming Together” will be heard in Sunday”s episode of the show.
“Not only am I the biggest fan of ”CSI: Miami,”” Wood said in a statement, “but I have made some great friends amongst the cast members. This song reflects their friendship and mine, and I hope will be a fitting comment for the season finale.”
Kelly Jones of The Stereophonics sings on the track, while Wood”s former Rolling Stones band-mate Mick Taylor plays guitar on the song and iconic rock n” roll producer Chris Kimsey produced it.

Of course it's a great song.
Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor coming together. (finally)
Funny title btw

Can't wait to hear them playing it live @ the Hammersmith Apollo in June

Sounds like it came out of the "Not for Beginners" sessions. Melodically.
Kelly J sounds good on this song.
Jagger could really rally the Stones to do a last great Stones album; if he saw the potential of Wood, Taylor, Wyman added to the fading Keith.

That song is great 100% ron wood. The groove and the mood are trademark Ronnie. I love the guitar parts going in and out creating a beautiful and soulfull thread.
Ronnie you rock!

...Definitely.
In fact, imo, it should have been Kelly - for the sake of guts & originality - to take the place of Rod Stewart in the recent Faces reunion.

It rather makes me think of Catch You from Feel like playing with a bit of Tell me something
thrown in.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

What a beautiful song. Very much in the vibe of the great Why you wanna etc. of his last album or the equally great Playin' on my Mind from the Hear this cd.

And I agree with Palace Revolution 2000: it has something in the melody that is in many works of the Faces / RW in the 70s

Agree, but seemingly 60 % of the fans can´t stand his songwriting or playing, judging from fans on this board...

I love Ronnie's melodies. Giving Ronnie a ballad or two to write on the next Stones album would be the best thing they could do for themselves.

Maybe they refer to Ronnie Who's Been Pushed Back By Keith All These Years?

While I prefer my Taylor years with The Stones above all, it's NOT anything to do with how I feel about Ronnie as a musician. I LOVE Woody's writing and playing - on his own and with early Rod especially. "I've Got My Own Album"... one cannot argue with that.

I would LOVE a Jagger/Taylor/Wood show!!!

I saw a comment over on rocks off that stated this song would have been even better with mick/keith on it and why did they not wait for them....

Answer...No song writting credits!

Wood and Taylor should shove it up the glimmers arse for all their BS and skip out on this 51st anniversery snore!!!!

Very nice song ,sung with a bit of mutual respect from all involved ,lovely laid back guitar, easy vocal style, not sure about the lyrics but the melody is fine.
First time I've heard it and it's a Sunday morning and I would say it fits perfectly into the time slot for me,what scenario it fits into on CSI I can't begin to imagine.
Thanks for posting Lien,is it scheduled for release anywhere else apart from the TV show soundtrack.

Not bad. But it is made so easy-listening and way too cliche-like materials that I was bored by the end of it, and I am sure if I would give more listenings, I would get annoyed very quickly. The riff is catchy and has some point but in that context sounds like a wasted opportunity. A proper song-writer maybe could have made something worthwhile of it.
