Since the Stones are waiting until 2013 Ronnie should get the Faces together and do some USA shows. Some positive feedback on this board just may help make it happen.

You bet it's a good idea. Stay with the cities they were strong in, Boston, NYC, Phila, Detroit and L. A. Then maybe travel on to Japan and rake in some bucks. Mac deserves it, they should do it for him.

would be very good. saw them at Bospop , Holland last year anfd they were having fun. Good show.
Hope to see them this year in Holland.

The Faces are not the Faces without Rod Stewart,Rods voice changed too much, since Atlantic crossing to give the songs the old spirit...
The Faces nowadays seem more like Ronnie solo with and extra singer..
They will never be able to catch the old spirit???

I am a big Faces fan, and I must admit that I did chuckle to myself when I first heard that Mick Hucknall was taking over Rods vocal duties!

How quick was the smile wiped off my face.....

As stated Mick Hucknall is absolutely fantastic on vocals and a worthy successor to Rod.

Mind you would have to hear him to believe it!

One question: How known are the Faces outside the UK to non Stones fans. They had to cancel their German tour because no one bought tickets. I think a tour by something like "The RW band feat. Mick Hucknall and friends" could have sold more tickets, but very few people here know who the Faces were. As far as I know they did not make it in the US either.

They are very popular in Holland, and were in the seventies.
Ithink, if they will play at the Paradiso, amsterdam, it well sell out in 45 minutes.
Great band, catch them if you can.

I am also a big Faces fan. The clips I have seen on the internet tell me that this would be great show.

When did Ronnie state they will play in summer in Germany? We had more than 20°C during the weeking, so summer seams not to be that far away here in Germany (-;
