Stones songs in films

Please forgive me if this topic has already been discussed & digested ad nauseum...happy to be pointed to another thread.

Other than Scorcese (and feel free to include his) what films feature the Stones' songs?

These films bubble up first (for no real reason):

Big Chill - opening scene (Costner in the casket)
Fallen - Time is on my side - cool flick if you're into that stuff...
Adaptation

I know there are so many others and merging my two favorite things - Stones & film - feels good right now...so please join in.smoking smiley

For starters, in "Full Metal Jacket" they played "Paint It Black" in the closing credits.

It has been discussed a few times, but worth revisiting. Can't You Hear Me Knockin' and Gimme Shelter on Casino are exhilarating. Full of menace and dread, fitting perfectly with Casino.

I also love the music on Coming Home, and really helps create the mode of lonely love. Chillingly human.

I don't think this list is complete, but it lists 223 films and tv shows
for jagger/soundtrack.

It shows 1971's "two lane blacktop" as the first film not involving a stone
to use a stones song: satisfaction.

"vanilla sky" using "heaven" was cool.

the most prominent use might be "can't you hear me knocking" as the opening for "blow"

scorcese spending something like a third of his film budget to get the rights
for "jumping jack flash" for his first film "mean streets"! imdb does not
list "tell me" which was also used.

"apocalypse now"! "satisfaction" on the mekong!

"waiting on a friend" in "basquiet" was another one that i remember as
a special moment in the theatre for me, since i did not know it was coming.
also "beast of burden" and "the nearness of you"

another great one i forgot: "dead flowers" in "the big lebowski", i think
by the burritos

I remember seeing this one really stoned at a drive-in movie somewhere in
michigan. i remember liking it a lot but hardly anything else. it starred
(i'm pretty sure) james taylor and carl wilson as two guys driving down
the highway. I'm sure other things must have happened in the movie, but
that's all I remember. Them two driving down the road with music playing.

(okay, now i've gone back to read the story line on IMDB. and it was
dennis wilson, not carl. )

The Driver and The Mechanic are two car freaks driving a 1955 Chevy throughout
the southwestern U.S. looking for other cars to race. They are totally dedicated
to The Car and converse with each other only when necessary. At a gas station,
The Driver and The Mechanic, along with a girl who has ingratiated herself into
their world, meet G.T.O., a middle-aged man who fabricates stories about his
exploits. It is decided to have a race to Washington, D.C., where the winner
will get the loser's car. Along the way, the race and the highway metaphorically
depict the lives of these contestants as they struggle to their destination.

"The Replacements" (2000), an American Football movie with Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman uses several songs from Voodoo Lounge. Off the top of my head it uses "You Got Me Rockin'", "Blinded By Rainbows", "Moon Is Up", and maybe more.

Another that comes to mind is "Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby" but it uses a cover of Paint It Black, not the original. It's a cover sung in French, by Marie Laforêt.

MOVIE - "Beast of Burden" in John Carpenter's "Christine" (1983).

TV - "You Can't Always Get What You Want" in several tv shows including "House" and "Californication" (great end of season 1).

There was a really cool german movie back from 1972. It´s called Rocker.
Great Soundtrack with three Stones Songs - Sister Morphine, Moonlight Mile and I got the blues.
