Don't be so sure. Once accessible media was available to the masses everything historic was and is talked about. Just maybe not in your kitchen.
Architecture, Artwork, Music, Exploration, War, Monarchy, Religion, Diseases, Food, Clothing, etc... are all relevent issues of discussion today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
And if you don't pay?
I buy CDs, DVDs etc. for cheap nowadays but tons of guys download illegally for nothing.
If you DON'T pay, I'm gonna send Johnnie's boys to come getcha!

The best part is the whole 'done deal' myth will end way before that fortunately.
No pay for music, no music to not pay for. And by that point the Stones couldn't even pay people to take the music for free - they'll have done their 5th album after A Bigger Bang and play only half of one song on the tour that they'll do that only a handful of people will go to since tickets will be $2500 a piece...the same set list, they're just like cockroaches.

That no real excuse for guys downloading music illegally but it happens. New CD prices have always been too expensive.

In 500 years, no one will be aware that there ever was a band called the Rolling Stones.
