a) why would keith need to approve of this? ronnie is a grown man. he can do whatever he wants.

b) the blade talk, "show him the blade" whatever, joke is pretty stale. what's next, a monica lewinsky joke?

Very cool...funny to see Paul and the band egg Ronnie on to take a solo but he sticks to rhythm for most of the song, until the end where he finally gives a short solo. I wonder how close Ronnie and Paul are? Either way...A great pairing!

Is this the first time a Stone has ever played with a Beatle on stage...or vice versa?

Good question, I'd love to know the answer to that one myself. Anyone ?

Can only think of DIRTY MAC at Rock N Roll Circus 'YER BLUES'
JOHN LENNON Vocal Guitar
ERIC CLAPTON Lead Guitar
KEITH RICHARDS Bass
MITCH MITCHELL Drums

Two things:

Why does macca look younger than Ronnie?

Since when macca and Ronnie are buddies? Ronnie gets invited to the wedding while Jullian stays home?????

Phantom friendship in my book.

I wouldn't think Keith would have any objection to Woody playing with Macca, after all there is a photo of Keith with Macca in Life.

Macca didn't spent 30 years staying awake for 10 days with Keith.

Only an opinion but the worst gig I have ever experienced - P. McCartney/Wings, Tour 1975-76, Glasgow. Only an opinion remember.

Texts from Paulywaul and Beast :

Ronnie joined Paul on 'Get Back'.

Macca should have re-worded the lyrics to something like:

"Ronnie was a man who used to live with Jo-Jo
But he knew it couldn't last
Ronnie left his home when he fell of the wagon
For some Russian waitress ass
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged"

smiling smiley

Ha!!!
Why is every time I watch Ronnie play he never plays. He points to others to go and does that wrist strumming motion and I'm not sure he is even strumming the strings. He is a guest and should be allowed to rip it up! When is the last time Ronnie Wood took me for a ride with that guitar? F if I know...
Love Ronnie but don't understand what happened to him. I do think Richards bullied him out of the solo spotlight but come on, Ronnie has spent countless nights with the likes of Hendrix and Stevie Ray.

It made me think, rather sadly, that the Beatles never got to celebrate their own 50th anniversary. That again would be up for argument. Was it 50 years from when John & Paul met, July 1956, when George joined, or when they started calling themselves the Beatles, in 1960 or 1961?

They never made it to their 10th
