There are certain songs he Stones have never been able to play as well as the recorded version. Personally I wish they wouldn't play them live because of this fact. To me its always a downer because of it. And on live albums I have to skip over them. Does anyone have any others?

Brown Sugar

Street Fighting Man

Jumping Jack Flash

All Down the Line

Hello, Planet earth calling. All four of these played brilliantly on Brussels Affair, just released.

And none of them have ever been played as well and as tight as the album version IMO. On the Brussels affair I skip right over them like every other time they are played live.

Hmm, too bad for you.

SFTD after 1969
JJF after 1969

1969 was a good year for the Stones when it came to playing live

Almost Hear You Sigh and Rock and a Hard Place from Steel Wheels.

Isn't this well enough for you???

To me, it sound awesome!

THat is a good version. They have not done it much but it was a train wreck the time I saw them pay it in Basil in 1990.

Actually i guess I agree with you. JJF from 69 was great. The problem was on Ya Ya they didn't put the one from the movie Gimmie Shelter which was alot better version.

Come On
confused smiley only me that haven't heard a descent version of Satisfaction live is my conclusion right now....

I dig the Leeds version, even though it's an atypical arrangement. The problem with Satisfaction is that it's almost exclusively played at the end, when they're winding up and trying to wham out every warhorse before the fireworks start and they dash for the limos. I don't like JJF played at the end for that reason. I can't think of a concert they started with Satisfaction. It is they're most important song, though it's been overshadowed in recent years. They should try opening with it so they take their time.

One of their best cuts period, that always come sof terrible live is "Rocks Off". Jagger can't get the pitch right. Should he go high, should he go low? The melody comes off as a sing-song then.
It is one of my favorite Stonescuts, but live it bites.
Heartbreaker also has suffered live.
