Listening to
DON'T BE A STRANGER
I LOVE YOU TOO MUCH

I like it - 2011 vocal or not
btw I don't not hear the difference between Mick's voice on DON'T BE A STRANGER(2011) and I LOVE YOU TOO MUCH(77)

DON'T BE A STRANGER has to be a new song, not an easy vocal, decent job for a guy pushing 70!

Mick has really done a good job this time with the overdubs, imo. Time for giving him well-deserved credits.

I like the tracks. They might be a litte one-dimensional, but I like the vibe and the sound.

I must agree with you: I'm generally liking what I'm hearing so far.

I do however admit to being slightly disappointed in that the versions of "Miss You" and "Beast Of Burden" are essentially the same ones as before. I was really hoping that the longer 8-track cuts would have been included this time. But for me it's not enough to offset the positive experiences of the bonus tracks.

Keep up blues sounds like a complete reworked one

My advice, DON"T DO IT! Plenty of time to hear the stuff without entrance to the devil's parlor.

He probably meant signing up for FB but with the direct link I posted it shouldn't be necessary.

It is not, it is available in it's original form on the second disc of the Place Pigalle bootleg under the title "Do You Get Enough?" (also sometimes called Lucky In Love). Mick seems to have completely re-written the lyrics for this new version, though I'm glad to finally hear the song in good quality.

It seems to be "Some People Tell Me", also from the aforementioned bootleg.

Agreed. Mick shines here. LOVE his vocals and his lyrics and his harp on Keep Up Blues especially. "Cinched in the waist and ripped high in the butt!!!!" smileys with beer

I've been a harsh critic of Mick's vocals recently, but God bless him, he sounds FANTASTIC here. Maybe he read my comments and decided to clean up his act!...

THANKS gotablouse, yes that's exactly what I meant but I checked the link and it is friggin AWESOME. I love it! Sweet sweet sweet. Whoo Hoo! Can you tell I am excited by this new mix , it sounds fantastic! Especially Some Girls and Keep up Blues, really love the harmonica playing and Mick's singing. He's on it! Rolling Stones got me again. Great post . The wave files at the top are a nice addition to the page.

I'll bet Bob Clearmountain had something to do with these mixes, it sure sounds like it. Just amazing. Gotablouse and Cocaineyes you rock!

With all respect to goddess Anita P. I find myself wondering if this is what Mick meant in Keep Up Blues when he sings "if I don't watch out I'll be pushin a shopping cart (yeah that'll be me)". peace.
