Clearly Mick's two best outings outside of RS.

Which one do you like better?

Any think Jagger has done beats Pooper Heavy.

But Wandering Spirit is far better by leaps and bounds. WS is Jagger reclaiming his artistic merit. Channeling the blues, funk, r and b, and country. It is a great release, his best solo album, and up there with Talk is Cheap as definitive solo stone statements.

I would be shocked if anyone here likes Superheavy better.

Hmmm.... I think the weight of SuperHeavy project is lifted too high here. The league of WANDERING SPIRIT is way far from its reach. Maybe comparing it to ALFIE soundtrack could be reasonable.

SuperHeavy is pubertal crap, Wandering Spirit one of the best solo efforts, maybe the best, of a band member. It proves the ingenious competence in composition skills of MJ, unfortunately nowadays he is used to spend his talent in senseless projects with incompetent partners

I know that I'm outnumbered nowadays, but in my opinion ABB is a great album with the exception of Rain Fall Down and will be regarded a classic one in the future.

No contest, imo. I even regard Alfie way better than SH.

Yeah, I must agree with the above. I don't like the commercial sound of SuperHeavy... and WS is Mick's greatest solo effort (imo)... They really don't compare. I wanted to give SH a chance, but it is not happening for me.

I would have to humbly disagree...I wanted to like Alfie, and was unable to. I find SH easy to like.

Well, that shouldn't be so difficult...
Some classic tunes on Wandering Spirit: Evening Gown, Wired all Night, Sweet Thing, Hang On To Me Tonight. Can't think of any on SuperHeavy really..
I'm sure that in a few years time no one will remember the SuperHeavy album at all.

Pete.

Wandering Spirit is a great album. It's been out so long now, you could call it a classic. Superheavy is just out. And although I like it very much it's impossible to compare with Wandering Spirit. Ask me again in a couple of years.
