Werchter was the show where it was debuted I believe.
It was also shown on TV so we got a nice pro shot/soundboard version.

Most of Werchter wasn't very good, but this song came across great. Followed by an outstanding transition into Tumbling Dice.

Werchter had some bad moments, the worst IMO being SFTD
I have seen a few 2007 shows, and I don't recall a bad version of I Go Crazy.

I agree with you Doc, somehow that song survived Keefs troubles. I remember watching him closely on the b-stage (Werchter) while Ronnie and Darryl seemingly were coaching him through a song, think it was Satisfaction. Also he made a strange comment about hoping nobody should feel what he was going through, something like that. And at the end of the concert he stood alone and tossed some extra guitar picks as to apologize. I didn't know what to think.
