Gospel vocals, a Nicky Hopkins-style piano, congas percussion. This one really got the feeling of a Stones song. Sounds like a mixture between SFTD and SFM, Brilliant.
It's no secret that the Crowes are very much influenced by the Stones. With Open G telecasters, it sounds like something that could have ended up on Exile on Main St. This is how the Stones should have sound in the 90's!
Not very obvious but I can clearly here some influences in this one.
Ya beat me to it ... The Black Crowes perty much built their sound on top of '70s Stones. Good Grief ... the bands that sound like 'em could fill the entire content of this board several times over.
I always thought this song by my morning jacket sounded like a song off of exile on mainstreet, especially the last part of the song with some MT style licks and the horns come in. Does anybody else hear it?
