Sorry to hear that, Andrewm. Personally, I always like a good argument. Well, there won't be much argument about where the Stanley Cup trophy will end up this season.
Kings won the third match with 4-0. The only thing that can stop The Kings now is probably Tony Soprano giving them an offer they can't refuse!

Bunch of wimpy wusses those Devils. They didn't even look like they were trying in game three. Perhaps they can do some ballet in New York during the off season. Hockey seems a little too rough for them.

A shame that an all time great like Brodeur has to go out this way if he retires.

[Although the LA Kings have been around the longest, there should not be teams in California. Hopefully they'll move to Canada. And the Ducks? Really? Are they even part of the NHL?[/quote]

KINGS 1 more victory for the CUP.

It's been quite hot and humid lately.

Seeing that game 1 was on a Wednesday and game 2 on a Saturday I'm amazed they played game 3 already. I really thought it was going to be this Wednesday but figured it might be as late as Friday the way the NHL has decided to schedule the Finals and stretch 7 games between June 2 and July 39th.

And it's not even on NBC. I thought NBC was broadcasting all of the Finals. Well hell, it makes it even that much more boring.

Vladimir Krutov died in a hospital in Moscow on 6 June 2012, of internal bleeding and liver failure at the age of 52. Together with Igor Larionov and Sergei Makarov, he was part of the famed KLM Line. He is considered one of the best hockey wingers of the 1980s.

Time for hockey in The Staples Center again. Will it be decided tonight? Matchstart in 20 minutes.

2-1 The Devils. 3-2 to The Kings in the match series. Next match in the Staples Center too. The last chance for The Kings to win at home.

The odds are still against The Devils but at least it is competitive now. Brodeur has been great the last couple games.

as a Canadian who's played hockey his entire life and who is pretty much a fanatic, i am not a fan of either team particularily (Bruins fan) but the the momentum has changed into the Devils favour; the pressure is now all on the Kings to win it at home. if they don't and it goes back to jersey ..i see Cup #4 for future hall of famer Brodeur, who refuses to show his age. How will the kings will handle the pressure is anybody's guess. doughty only had one shot last game; i think alot rests on his performance. if he dominates, Kings win. if not..

as a fan though and with no favorite in this i just wanna see 7 games

and overtime in game 7

Brodeur was showing his age earlier in the series but seems to have found the fountain of youth the last two games. Jonathan Quick on the other hand has come back down to earth a little. Game six is up for grabs.

Time for match number six. And I hear from a very reliable source that "T" has entered the arena. Everything can happen now...

The only way the Kings lose this,is if they put it to a vote of Nevada boxing judges.eye rolling smiley

The Los Angeles Kings win the Stanley Cup. A great run for the Kings.

Congrats to the Los Angeles Kings. My brother took me to my first Kings game in, I think, 1969. A 0-0 tie vs the Flyers. Was hooked ever since, despite the no-score.
Congrats to Bob Miller, too, the Kings announcer since 1973.

I think this is the first time that no one really cared tht LA won the cup. Probabaly more than half of LA don't know who the Kings are.

Congrats to the Kings and the 2 BC players, Willie Mitchell and Colin Fraser, who also won 2 years ago with the Blackhawks! I'll bet Willie's happy he left Vancouver. Also classy of captain Dustin Brown to call Willie over to let him carry the cup first.

congrats to the Kings, and good to see two hometown boys hoist the Cup; Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter.

When The Devils fell behind 3 games to none they sealed their fate. Kings deserved to win but that said I now see that the NHL has the same problem as the NBA and NFL- horrible officiating. This nonsense of calling penalties on one team and not the other is ruining sports. A Devil was knocked to the ground before the five minute major but surprisingly no penalty was called. I saw it millions of times with the old Lakers team. Shaq could give somebody a piledriver and not get called for a foul but if somebody came within two feet of Shaq they got called for a foul.

Again The Kings deserved to win. The horrible officiating is just a side story that is taking over sports these days.

Speak for yourself. Most of my friends have probably been to more Kings games the past 20 years than Dodger, Angel or Laker games combined.

That's true for most of Europe, Havo. However not in Northern Europe.

Lots of European players in the NHL, and many more who are not. Where it is cold and snows, hockey is big.
