I live in BC, Canada. L&G was very crowded in Vancouver. Met some great fans. Live In Texas is non-existent in Canada, which surprises me.

WOnder if it's coming in Finland.. I doubt. Anyway, Blue-Ray/DVD is available in November. In Shine A Light premiere there was total eight of us. Includind me, my girlfriend and bottle of Stolichnaya.

Denmark and Iceland, but not Norway, Sweden and Finland - why???

Anyway, as somebody cleverly asked,why in Croatia and why not in France or Canada ?
How did they chose the countries ?
May be they compared the entries for L& G and found they weren't enough ?



I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

As I said in another thread, there WILL be screenings in France, but be patient.

Whatever you swedes do, don't call or mail SF. If you do, you will probably talk to me as I work there, and all I can say is: nothing planned as of yet. My guess is this movie will probably go up on smaller cinemas, like for instance those owned by Folket hus och parker (Bio Rio in Stockholm, etc.). All we can do is wait.

Yes, I know the screening isn't a present ,especially coming from the Stones.
I meant could it be possible the cinemas in France wouldn't want to buy it because L&G wasn't successful enough here ? (don't know about the other countries )

That may be so. Or EagleRock / more2screen was a little to late in offering Some Girls and cinemas did have booked other movies already.

I can't speak for all of Canada, but my theatre was packed (400-500 people) with tongue t-shirt wearing gonads.

I sent an email to the cinema company in Bergen, Norway. They sais they had turned this film down. The reason for that was explained by Shine A Light not doing well at all when it was shown there a few years back. I said this was something else completely, and much better, and a one off, but knew I had lost already.

no i was actually thinking of sal and it was universal of course and in fact i think l&g was not distributed to theaters in italy
but now i am not sure...

I'm pretty sure this one is not regarded a potential "cash-cow" here in Sweden. The one who indeed chooses to show the movie is probably doing so with no intention on making lots and lots of money. I would rather say it's gonna be some kind of "charity" or gesture toward the small crowd willing to see this. Let's therefore have faith in the goodwill of the swedish movie-people. And it is, with this said, likely to be the same in Norway.

I did mentionned L& G because although I don't have the numbers , I am pretty sure the movie didn't sell a lot of entrances in France.
I'd be glad if someone could give me the outline, though.
I don't know where to find the exact nbs of entries

The determining factor can't, for certain, be the number of tickets bought for L&G because the theater in Vancouver was virtually sold out, but there is no showing of LIVE IN TEXAS. Intriguing to me....(but I am easily intrigued).
