Sorry, got fooled of that they spoked finnish in the movie (I think I know how swedish sounds)...

Some actors in the story book are Finnish people, in the movie, too. And both, book and movie, have been translated to many languages, to Norwegian and Finnish too, of course

Yeah, but isn't Vittula and it's publisher a finnish book and movie?

Yep.

No!

Germans vs the Swedes.

At least better than another boring Beatles vs. Stones thread.

Hi treaclefingers,
if you will read this thread, you can clearly see:
No German is fighting vs. the Swedes! smiling smiley

And really, I like this movie very, very much, indeed:

Thanks, I think. I'm not sure if those clips were more boring or disturbing...I may have missed the connection.

Anyway, I was only being 'flippant' in my Germans vs. Swedes comment...just was noticing that we were getting an argument about something entirely irrelevant.

Populärmusik Från Vittula isn't boring, it's a very nice movie, a kind of a documentary movie about the very beginning of rock music. A must see!

I like this kind of swedish humorous books and movies very much.

Thanks...well, perhaps the clips I saw were out of context to the entire film. Unfortunately I didn't understand the language or subtitles, so that didn't help my viewing experience.

Thanks for trying though!
