To be honest, I don't quite get what Bob is talking about. Check out Hampton '81 and tell me who is the funkiest bass player on earth? I think what Bob really means is that they're not as good without Wyman.

Yes. I am a fan. His bass was an integral part of the Stones unique sound and I really dug the way he played with the band. He filled the space beautifully and in such a way as to not always be obtrusive and fit the song. His bass lines were inventive and not obvious in that they did not follow the main melody line, as in say, 'Satisfaction'.
