It's a that kind of match which provides confidence within a team. Wales should make it against Fidji. Then we would have from the North, 4 countries : Ireland, Wales, France and England in the quarter final.

well well well...
France vs Tonga
a real deception !
les Bleux jouent comme des bourrins !
there might be a big surpise if we continue to play that way !

France only forgot that to win a game, you need to have a team spirit and envy to play. They never show one of these 2 points. The potential game versus England will be a tea party for England and a terrible crash for France.

IMO, France seems to have a real weak point : a lack of physical strength
and also a great amount of clumsy gestures. We played like beginners.
yes sure against England it might be a real clash !

Agree on both criticism. No direction at all. No real boss on the field. A sum of good individuals but noone to help the other. Harsh lesson against what remains a minor nation in rugby.

We all know in France that this team does not deserve to reach the semi-final after 2 consecutive waterloos : one against Argentina, and the second one more recently against Italy ( !!!!).

England beat Scotland but it was far from easy.Scotland were better in first half but England came good with a try in second half. Will probably not be easy against France.France may get their act together by next Saturday.Should be a good game. thumbs up

Australia were hardly convincing against Russia. Conceeding 22 points against a team ranked outside the top 20, pretty embarrassing. 47-5 at half time and didn't go on with the job. I'm afraid we may face an early exit against the Springboks, or the Welsh who have been excellent.

The quarter finals always demonstrated another run in the past. Nothing has ever been written for sure. It's widely open even if the Blacks are favorite to win.

Don't be sorry ,crawdaddy .winking smiley
You 're right & it's all good.

I am not a rugby expert but I am still wondering why "we" (France ) seemed so weak again,no defense etc

Not sure who I would like England to face in the semi's. Both Ireland and Wales look tough to beat.

So it's come down to the Northern Hemisphere versus the Southern Hemisphere.

May the Hemisphere that plays far more entertaining and flowing rugby (the Southern) win!

For what it's worth, I'll tip Wales, England, Australia and NZ to win next weekend.

My bet for the final of the northern hetmisphere : Ireland vs England with Ireland as the winner. Which would lead to NZ vs Ireland as a Final. Though France can beat England.

Are all rugby games played on natural grass. Do any teams play on artificial surfaces?
