Is that prints or posters?
I would love a poster.
hmmmm..... Now I wonder what exactly is the difference between posters and prints. I usually say poster, but it may be a print... I hope the artist is not offended by one saying poster versus print, I hope not, but it seems people can be pretty touchy these days, so anyway...
to whom it may concern, whatever you would like to call it fine with me, please dont be offended by terms-a-ma-callits...I wish I was millionaire and could buy just the original... but...
I suppose that I have bought a lot of both, with the main difference being the price. Posters usually cost about $10.00 and prints seem to cost anywhere from $25.00-$100.00 depending on...
So I looked up a "versus" to see what else, besides price in the difference... [

""A poster is done on a cheaper support and usually with inks of less quality since it's printed in larger quantities and it's cheaper.
A print, namely a gyclée, is (or should be) printed on an archival support (usually rag),or at least on an acid free one.
Note that archival is acid free, but acid free may not be archival.
Inks are pigmented and will be lightfast. With a proper support and good quality inks, and of course with proper conservation (not being placed under direct light, namely sunlight and so on) a gyclée will maintain its aspect for many decades.
A gyclée can be of limited edition, and it's often sign by the artist.""
