Best contributions to Stones recordings by other musicians

Would be curious to know of any playing on any of the Stones recordings that folks find particularly memorable which was not performed by a member of the Stones but by a session musician etc.

Perhaps Merry Clayton's singing on "Gimme Shelter"?
Nicky Hopkins piano on "Sympathy For The Devil"?
Sugar Blue's harmonica on "Miss You"?
Paul Buckmeister's string arrangement on "Moonlight Mile"?
Jack Nitzsche's arrangement on "You Can't Always Get What You Want"?
Billy Preston?
Sonny Rollins?
Ernie Watts?
Stu?
Jimmy Miller?
Ian MacLagen?
Jim Price?
Bobby Keys?
Anyone else I've missed?

The Black and Blue Boys!

Harvey Mandel & particuarly Wayne Perkins. His solo on Hand of Fate is one of the best Stones' moments of the 70's.

Have to go also with Nicky Hopkins, hard to pick out the best, because he shines on everything he plays on...but the most popular is She's a Rainbow, nice piano on Loving Cup and No Expectations, many more!

Have to agree with Green Lady too on Bobby Keys, second place, especially I Got the Blues and CYHMK.

What about Pete's vocals on Slave??? The song would have been NOTHING without his snarling, growling, absolutely crushing vocal!

Booby Womack for the Dirty Work Sessions

Now we know why the Stones called the album "Dirty Work" - because they were playing with Booby.

For me it's Ernie Watts or Bobby Keys w/ Keith Richards on Beast Of Burden for the Still Life Tour.

That off and on, stop and start, that sax/guitar lick trade off durring the long solo is pure magic to me.

I never get tired of listening to those shows.

The sax and guitar lick trade off on Just My Imagination too are spectacular too.
