Does anyone know who designed the "dog" featured on some 1990 tour posters, tickets and on the tour programme ?

Thanks

STEEL WHEELS was a horrible name for an LP. It still is. It was their first digital recording (their second being A BIGGER BANG).

The LP cover was even worse than the title. What are those things? Still not as bad as the previous excuse for an LP's cover.

But STEEL WHEELS is ridiculous. They should've used a different title and different cover. URBAN JUNGLE would've been a thousand times better both as a cover and name but it hadn't been invented yet.

       Great articles. Thanks!

     "Skippy" Urban Jungle's Dog.

I remember watching "At the Max" at the IMAX theater when it was first released. In the closing credits,
one of the inflatables, the big canine was named "Skippy" too. (The big dog Mick attacks in Street Fighting Man.)

When the movies was released for the home market, "Skippy" wasn't in the credits any longer.

Great blog. I had no idea it was called Skippy, which is an odd name for a dog, and primarily associated with a famous TV kangaroo.

if the 1990 tour had been 1972 instead, the dog would have been called rover.
