Excellent! I hope these DVDs will include all the interviews and the 16 songs that the Stones sang on the program. Thanks for the news!

Wow...quite a release. I don't understand the two different releases?

Why would anyone buy the 4 show set, knowing the 6 show set was coming in another month?

This was written about a couple of weeks ago. There is a thread on it. The Stones did 17 songs, not 16. They did 2120 South Michigan Ave on the May 1965 appearance.

Don't shoot the messenger, this information only came through on my e-mail yesterday, I didn't see any other thread on it.

I was thinking about the two separate releases.
My theory is:

1st release will contain 4 complete 1 hr shows including all other acts plus have The Rolling Stones as musical guests.

2nd release will contain only The Six Stones performances 64-69.

I say this because I went on the Ed Sullivan website & they seem to be busy this fall releasing Ed Sullivan related compilations & full shows.

Since I already have these on boots and official Sullivan releases, the interest for me will be the rest of the acts on the shows. God, I hope they have plate spinners and Senor Wences.

Well, it would be easy to have just one thread about the subject.

Sorry. Maybe it was the way I wrote it. I wasn't trying to make it sound like I was attacking you. I apologize. I was just pointing out that there was a thread on this subject.

This is directly from Sofa Entertainment.

As for the upcoming Stones collections, these are the full episodes, and the
Stones songs are definitely complete. Your only question is which set you
go for, as it will be available as a 3 episode set (found only at Walmarts),
a 4 episode set, and later in the year a 6 episode set. The episodes
contain the other acts that were on the shows that week as well. Thanks for
writing.
