OT-help need to identify a song

Hello all, I was listening to the radio the other day (a classic rock station) and a song came on the radio in which the singer sounded a lot like John Lennon (it was not a Beatles song).The lyrics had something like "I want to keep on holding you" (or something like that),any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

it's very easy to ID a song having an EXACT quote from it - just googling. shitty japanese pop is all one can get with a phrase "I want to keep on holding you".
maybe someone else will help.

the tempo is moderate ..not too fast or slow...there is some acoustic guitar on it I honestly thought it was a beatles/Lenon solo song but it is not ,I tried to get the name or artist but could not.Quote
