I guess a lot of Americans will asking this question.

Jürgen Klinsmann is one of the best German scorers. After Gerd and Uve probably first.
I edit post because forgot Rummenige, Felher, Uli Hennes...oh how many Germa great players.

Soccer is growing in America, but ain't quite there yet.

I'd imagine plenty Americans don't know about Klinsmann.

US should have hired him years ago when both parties discussed that possibility.

i think that 97 percent of the germans know him. Good deal for the U.S.-team to got him!

I think northamerican football (soccer, ok) will get better and better without any doubt, and Klinsmann will do a lot for USA national team since he has seen it all in football. He was always in the "eye of the storm " throughout his career and knows about the pressures, etc to play at the top of the game.

Great news. Jurgen was an absolute hero to me - not only for his incredible performances for Germany but playing for Spurs too. A real gentleman and great football brain. I expect the USA to do well.

Do you follow football or is this just a national pride thing?
Mexico are the better side in terms of players anyhow. A win for them is to be expected. Plus, Jurgen has only had two games so he hasn't exactly had time to get the squad to play in his style etc. Draw is a good result against Mexico

A loss against Costa Rica is a poor result though! Was it a friendly?

Bring back Bruce Arena! At least he could beat Mexico (in the World Cup no less)....something that Klinsmann has failed to do.

Have faith in Klinsi. He did well to take Germany to the brink of the World Cup final in 2006, losing out in the last few minutes of the semi-final against Italy.

He was a great player and popular too, even with English fans which is quite something for a German unfortunately.

The USA have been in or around the last 8 at recent world cups and it could be that given a decent draw he'll take you further next time round. The game is getting better over there and he'll inspire the current crop of players to the next level.

I think not, he (she) seems to know very little about the sport (which is not a crime)

USA can win 2014, but not with Klinsmann...they should have choosed King Otto instead....
