No activity for two months. I wasn't worried because he usually does take several weeks off in August, but this has gone on quite a while.

I just received a mail from Rene......Everything seems ok with him.....he still is fed up since the computer crash he had last year and decided he stopped track talk after his summer holiday. He ask me if I want to take over the track talk...... even got his blessing ;o)

I don't have any problem taking over track talk in name of Rene as I always have the Mondays free from work.........
So if there no objections I will start Monday........................I will ask him which list he used or does anybody knows?

I agree latebloomer, Rene did it for 7 years now........one year more and track talk it would be finished.

As you can see, René has got as far as Till The Next Goodbye (how appropriate!)

I don't know what list he uses but it isn't the Time Is On Our Side one. I have got caught out once or twice when the next TIOOS track isn't the one he does. However, now that you are in charge you can do things your own way. I think he must get lyrics and recording/release details from several sources, probably Keno's site and TIOOS among others.

May I just say a huge Thank You to René for creating the Track Talk. It's been a pleasure to keep track of you all this time, and I hope you will come back to us sometimes now that you're off duty.

Good one Nicos. It will be forever Rene's baby but you are the new curator. And there are at least 20 classics to get excited about. Using a cricket term, the Stones are great tail enders.

I understand that such a gigantic task can get too much for someone after some time but I do not understand why he/she cannot announce 'officially': I'm sick and tired of it, can someone else please continue? It you are not ill or dead you should say goodbye so the others know what's on.

That said, Rene did a great job for which everybody on this site will be very grateful.

He did that earlier, but we urged him to continue
