With it been the 12.1.2011 today..its 543 days to The Stones 50th..
it would please many of us if you would kindly start a new thread for each of the next 542 days so we can keep count with you. tomorrow's should read: It's 542 days to the Stones 50th." Each subsequent day you can simply adjust the title by subtracting one from the previous day's number.
thank you on behalf of us all. we look forward to this countdown with all the accomopanying thrills and excitement it so richly deserves.
the return of StonesTod!
or did I miss some recent earlier posts...

Is day zero the 50th? Is there a day zero? Or would that be the first day of the 51st year?

i can see it now. the 50th anniversary will arrive, nothing will happen on that day. maybe a news article but that's it. no fireworks. no celebrations in the street. no speeches by world leaders. nothing. colonial will be sad, he will cry. and crisscrossmind will post an angry message with a super long headline saying the world doesn't understand good music anymore.

So later today they technically turn 50 years old since they will have completed their 49th year in "existence", right?

... are you colonial's other log-in name? :E
"they are 49" = "they have completed 49 years in existence"
they'll turn 50 when they've completed 50 years, right
i love the Rolling Stones

Has anyone subtracted the years of nothingness from this?

Who would have thought back in 1986 that "Dirty Work" was only the half way point (thus far) or that even in 2011 the Stones would still arguably be the biggest touring act in world?
This is the beginning of the second half.
