This song will fail when doing live, the song fits the Stones real well in '69 but not in '11

It would've even sounded bad live in 1975, & certainly 1981.

Jagger was still growling through the 78 tour..so I dunno

Why not just ONE post, which you "paste" into any thread you feel necessary....something like

"Rolling Stones after 1969 mostly sucks, Stones after 1974 always sucks, and Ronnie Wood stinks".

That way you wouldn't have to spend too much typing the same things over and over again.

Where have I said Ronnie stinks? I very rarely criticize him, & indeed often praise him (generally I prefer him to Taylor, agreeing with Bill Wyman's assessment that he revitalised the band)...& if you go back & read my posts you'll see that my cut-off point for the group at their greatest is 1967, not 1969 - something I make no apologies for.

Metamorphosis is mostly a one-time listen. Mick doesn't seem capable of pulling off the vocal emotions needed for this song.

I've probably played it in it's entirety more times than any other post-Sticky Fingers album...

If "I don't know why" sucks live, then they could at least play this one from Metamorphosis. Izzy Stradlin does a great job on it.
