The Beatles became the role models for every band on the planet, as far as vocal arrangements go. There is no competition.
But the Stones found their own sound, and that go for the vocals as well. You don't need more than that when it works.
i think THE BEACH BOYS did that more than the beatles

Stones greatest with harmonies? Probably a lot of the stuff on Some Girls where they were actually singing three part harmonies.
Next would be most of Exile with Mick and Keith singing almost dual leads ala Sam and Dave, especially Casino Boogie.
The Beatles, Because. Listen to the isolated vocal track from Anthology. Brilliant!
Also This Boy and Yes It Is. Great three part harmonies.
Flying is fun because it is the only Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Star composition and they are all singing on it.

I think the vocal duet style Mick & Keith developed on Exile songs like Casino Boogie, Black Angel and Torn & Frayed showed what they could do vocally. Really amazing.

I would never call Ringo a singer. Or even a drummer, actually.

Mick Jagger overrules all of them.
In order of best singers in Beatles: Harrison, Lennon, Macca, Ringo. Ringo I would call a bad singer.
Keith in the 60'ies -> 80'ies was much better. Even Bill and Mick T are better singers than Ringo.

i think some stones fans are afraid or unwilling to admit that the beatles were more talented and more musically-interesting, individually and as a collective unit, than the stones were because they're trapped in the beatles vs. stones, can't love them both, mentality.

I love them both.
Like I love red wine and I love a beautiful sunset.
Why can't you love two different things?
It's no big deal.
The Beatles couldn't do The Stones and The Stones couldn't do the Beatles.
Both great - but different.

Don't know if P McCartney said that about the Stones but I am sure that I've heard Mick Jagger answering in an interview in French or English (I don't remember) that he never liked the music of the Beatles
Listen to: Here Comes the Sun, Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, My Sweet Lord etc. - great singing.Quote

Yeah but they never got near those Keith back-up vocals....Like a crow in a caught in a rabbit trap
I don't remember on what song Kieth was about to sing bit Mick introduced it as
" Kieth's gonna croak out a couple for ya " . Always thought that was a good line .

hmmm. While I loved Harrison, Lennon tops them all for pure rock and roll force. And Macca is the grandaddy of versatility and range. His range is far greater than Jagger. I love Jagger and what he does with The Stones...but...

Macca's vocals on I'm Down and Helter Skelter are hard to beat as far as rock'n'roll singing goes. Pure Little Richard.
