I represent the old black musicians who had real talent everywhere I go..And my 3 piece band does very good business..Its like the Experience line-up...we do all kinds of deep cuts from the Stones,Hendrix,Cream,Traffic,Doors,Blues,Reggae,etc,etc,..Chuck B...plus some cool songs from the 80s and motown that I grew up with...I love being different and I stand out in the music click in my town..Wow.

Jimi Hendrix. Plus it seems that he got more than inspiration, if his first white Stratocaster was indeed Keith's.

Mick Jagger arguably made Living Colour's career:

"[Vernon Reid] formed Living Colour as a trio in 1984, going through various configurations for two years before hooking up with singer Corey Glover, drummer William Calhoun and bassist Muzz Skillings. Then came the real stroke of luck: Reid was called in to play on Mick Jagger's solo album, Primitive Cool, and the Stone dropped by the New York punk club CBGB to catch Living Colour's show.

"Jagger got so worked up over the set that he took a week off from mixing his own album to produce two demos — `Glamour Boys' and `Which Way to America?' — for the fledgling group. After the Jagger tapes made the rounds and snagged Living Colour a record deal, the band called in Primitive Cool coproducer Ed Stasium to oversee the rest of the album. Jagger, whose demos appear in their original form on Vivid, came back later to blow harmonica on `Broken Hearts,' while other studio guests included Public Enemy's Chuck D. and Flavor Flav, delivering a social-commentary rap on `Funny Vibe.'"

P.S. The Beatles titled their album RUBBER SOUL after Paul McCartney told the other Beatles he heard that black Americans referred to Mick Jagger as having "plastic soul."

As your post, I am drawin' a blank.

Cheers, mate.

You're absolutely right, but a Stones influence did creep up around Ike & Tina's
Come Together album. Also check out Ike's solo single "Taking Back My Name" you'll hear what I'm talkin' about!

Yeah, but my point is that Ike wrote 'Rocket 88' 1951 when Jagger/Richards were 9 years old so who is giving who the inspiration from the beginning...
