Seems like they'd kind of be stretching for a tribute concert to those people. Don't get me wrong, I love them all, but they don't really scream of needing their own benefit. Seems fine to just acknowledge and think back on their importance over they years.
Save the tribute concerts for when Keith, Mick, Macca, Clapton, etc kick the bucket.

Hey, I never said they had to sell tickets man. No need to be so negative. I believe the members of the Rolling Stones are true to their heart and those close to them.

I would love to see , and think it perhaps more realistic, a tribute song or set for Bobby at their next gig. Opening (or closing) Rock in Rio-Vegas with perhaps a special guest or three would be nice.

....that we will never see or hear, because it will be done only for special invited friends in attendance, say, at the 100 Club, and we will never hear the one tape that is made of the concert by one of the invited guests, like, say, Macca.

If Bobby or Ian's family needed financial help that might be a different matter and I could see them pulling something off for that purpose. But that might even be a stretch since they could probably just write a check.

The best tribute they did was at Chuchs Funeral in 2002, what an amazing thing that was. One and only time they ever played that song live

What about a new studio album - and then ending it with a little snippet of Bobby's sax, a'la DIRTY WORK in regards to Stu... (but hope this time not being the best part in the whole album..)
