Just wondering am I the only one on this board that collects concert reviews from newspapers the day following the concert.. I have lots from 90's with some neat pic some are full page.

I have many, I've been collecting Rolling Stones magazine and paper since articles 1968 or so. Most of the UK magazines (Melosdy Maker, Sounds. NME, Record Mirror and the US mags Creem, Rolling Stones etc.

I have some...mostly from shows I attended then I'd raid the newspaper racks the next morning before traveling home.

Yep....after every show I see....no one gets the coverage the Stones get.

I do,but it has to be concert I've visited...

I always buy the local newspapers the day after a show. Fun to read years after, when lots of memories are coming back. I read thru all the reviews I have from the European leg 2007 the other day. The reviews from the danish press after the Copenhagen gig are the most enthusiastic concert reviews I've ever read. And rightly so, as that concert was dynamite. Also fun to read the reviews from Gothenburg - the show were Keith allegedly was to drunk to play. And I had forgotten that the tw@t Morten Ståle Nilsen from the norwegian newspaper VG wrote that Charlie doesn't swing.

Hey Rockman you got any or do u collect them. Mine esepcially from 94 & 97 got some neat photos, got a few full pages pin ups of Jagger. They are collectors items so glad I saved them. A friend got all the papers after they played Edmonton in 97 and sent them to me.

I kept the newspapers & magazines that were published the day(s) after the concerts I attended ,it's not a lot though .



I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

yes I collected, but from the seventies (the show I never seen !!), have a few one from the Paris1998, 2003, 2006, glasgow 2003 too .
The idea of course IF ONE LAST TOUR, will be to open a thread dedicated to the local papers reports, headline of every show in the world ... the result will be a great archive document.

I used to collect them... until they all started saying the same thing.

I use to collect NME, RM, MM. Now I'm selling them on eBay. If interested there is a bunch on sale in these vere days. Still have a hundred or more at home.

This one for example includes the 1968 Wembley Poll Review.

I'm gathering Stones'front-cover magazines/papers from the beginning: I have numbered almost 7000 entries so far,but surely there are many more ones to discover here & there!!

Can you please clarify what you have and looking for? just the scan of the front page or you mean the scan of the inside article? I'm also interested to these papers, if they are readable and period 1962-1973.

I confess, guilty as charged. I've been collecting newspapers for 40 years with reviews of the concerts I've seen! I have papers ( double copies usually), and magazines all in plastic sleeves, some from the 60's. It's a habit I can't break!
