That's pretty cool. I'm not much of a fan of their music but do tend to like what I hear about the band. I'm going to have to do a search to find out details about the Antarctica show meantioned in the article.

Peace,
Mr DJA

"the group is offering CDs and LPs of every gig it played in 2014, mostly comprising its "Metallica by Request" tours of South America and Europe where fans selected the set lists"

I thought they were offering 24-tracks SB releases of some 1986 and 1988 shows... (when they kicked ass). 2014 drek, meh? confused smiley

One thing is sure : Lars Ulrich is still addicted to cash.

Yeah, but let me make it clear - I'm not a Metallica-fan smiling smiley

They did let the fans select the setlists, though...

No offense winking smiley and the slow but steady decline of what was once a great band shows us how wisely the Stones acted through the years.
They took what they wanted from the trend du jour (the "Unplugged" concept or the "you make the setlist trend) without ever looking like a band that was running out of gas. The Stones did and do things their way.

Otoh Metallica and lots of former "big big bands" seems to be badly in need of an artistic defibrillation...
