Sticky Fingers is now out in Japan in SHM-SACD format.
This release has nothing to do with the Universal 2009 remasters .
This is a new DSD flat transfer from analogue master tapes done by Mick McKenna and Richard Whittaker.
I haven't listened to it yet but it looks like the people who have, quite enjoy this release :

VINYL is the thing.
I bought recently on E-Bay a sealed copy of Sticky Fingers remastered and pressed by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, pressed in Super Vinyl (that was produced by JVC in Japan); and I tell you dear friends, this is the absolute Rolling Stones sound you will ever find!
Regards.

Nothing can beats the MFSL LP I received today. On an excellent turntable, the band is in your living room !!
I have a couple of copies of this, but my turntable is crap so I haven't even played...need to get a new turntable...would hate to end up with vinyl shavings at the end of the premiere listen!

How about other albums? Only these were released on SACD? By the way I guess they have only SACD layer? Wish they could be listened on normal CD player...

AMEN!
I have Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab´s (MFSL) remastered Box of the ABKCO era, and Sticky Fingers and Some Girls.
I bought all of them in E-Bay earlier this year, and I can tell you that it is the most exciting Rolling Stone´s sound existing.
I have also the 1971-1989 era in common Lp´s and all the collection in SACD (2002) and Virgin and Universal reissues.
Vinyl beats them all.
Regards.

Well the fact is until now there was no good digital version of this album anyway. That's why I'm wondering if this SACD might be the one (or not). From what I read it's a flat transfer from the master tapes. When listening to the audio sample I was talking about one can hear a very clear sound. Now why they are selling this at such a price and on SACD only, I don't know. Stones should be available for everyone...

Steve Hoffman himself seems to have some issues with this release:
