This is such BS. Does anybody seriously think Mick really listens to what songs hardcore fans want to hear? They are likely going to play it safe and do the same setlist for Asia and Australia they were doing at the US shows last year, with possibly one or two changes. Mick and Keith will decide what songs to play without any input from fans or critics, or even Chuck. I even think the internet song choice is fake. Anyway, 90% of the people who go see the Stones these days are just casual fans. These people are paying big bucks for a night out and want to be entertained. They want to hear the hits...not a bunch of semi-obscure songs from Exile or whatever. #mickjaggerdoesnotcareaboutyou

So in other words 90% of the audience is getting exactly what they want.

Leaving 10% of those who are disappointed that that again forked out big bucks just to hear the same songs they heard at every other Stones show they have gone to for at least the last two decades. Free the orphaned Stones songs now!!!!

We have an option here to make an influence on the setlists, but with such a negative post, I'm sure Mr. Jagger will stand firm with his perceptions that only the hits are worth playing, since the hardcore fans are ungrateful in every possible way, no matter what you do and how you're trying to please them.

Jagger doesn't care much one way or the other what fans think. If you want a better example look at artists like Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and even Paul McCartney. They speak to both their casual and hardcore fans by creating setlists containing popular hits as well as lesser-known and even obscure songs. They know they can't please everybody all the time but try to reward their most loyal fans without alienating the more casual ones.

They sent out the same exact plea last year before the shows, then a while later MJ complained about how fans asked for obscurities like Gomper. Our opinions have zero influence on the setlist.

The only thing the 'many' need is an ability to appreciate more than the same dozen songs.

Those artists also play a lot more songs per show, which helps.

True. It would be too much to expect the Stones to ever change their setlists nightly like Bruce or PJ, but I'd be happy if they could at least do an "A" and "B" setlist when they play 2 shows in the same city. Many bands do that.

now you're suggesting they actually buy albums and not just greatest hits so that they can learn what these other songs are.

it just never ends...jeesh!

This seems to be true, before last US tour there was a poll/thread on here and Time waits for no one was the clear - by a long way - winner........ followed by 100 years ago and Winter

we all know what ...............

Sorry, I struck a deal with Mick that if they wouldn't play Gomper they'd also not play those songs.
