Guys, On the Gimme Shelter movie at the end you here the song Gimme Shelter but you see people either coming or going. Is there a pro-shot video floating around that shows the Stones doing the song??

Thank you for this link, but there's no film of the Stones on stage playing "Gimme Shelter" at Altamont as far as I can find ?

the only two filmed tracks officially released are Sympathy For The Devil and Under My Thumb.
There is some outtake footage floating around which has crowd scenes and the last minute or so of Jumping Jack Flash

I have the Criterion Gimme Shelter dvd - the black cover with Mick's face on.
I've noticed there is a newer version out - the cover has Mick strutting onstage, a 40th anniversary edition.

Does anyone know if there is anything extra on this new one that is not on the Criterion version?

Not all was probably filmed. As I understand it, the camera's of the day could only film several minutes before they had to be reloaded. So they had to decide beforehand which songs where to be filmed and which not. The outtakes available from MSG for example are mostly try-outs of 1 or 2 camera's, as is the Love in Vain footage from the movie. This is also the reason why L&G was a collection of four shows.
