Won't happen. Anyways his Glass Spider tour was about as Vegas as Bowie could get.

If it happened, it might make it actually worth seeing a Vegas show.

Do you think he'd use white tigers on stage though?

Can't see it happening. It's true that if Bowie could be coaxed back onto the stage at all it would probably be in a residency format but I think New York and London are the most likely places taking into account where he lives and where he comes from. But I don't think the chances of any shows at all are higher than 50/50 and that's fine with me. I'd prefer my wholly positive memories of the multiple shows I did on the Reality tour where great seats could be had fairly easily for £50 a time. Ah, those were the days.

I've seen Rod & Elton at that venue. It's a great room with infinite possibilities. The sight lines & sound are great in the whole theater. It was designed for modern music shows (for Celine Dion, bleh!) not the traditional Vegas shows. Rod was more about music & Elton had a more elaborate production. Both were fine shows. Bowie could do something special there. Especially if he essentially keeps the band he had on the last few tours. They were fantastic. Finally, you could get balcony tickets at the Colousseum for as little as $50. & they were way more than adequate. I like Vegas in small doses. Have seen the Stones down there several times. I live in Seattle, so its only about a 2 hour flight. You can stay at really nice hotels for relatively little $ if you work the system. Another point for me is I'm currently unattached & Vegas is a place I can go by myself & they don't make me feel like I'm a weirdo for travelling solo. You can definitely overdo it down there but I've found after much research, haha, the perfect length trip is 3 nights, 4 days. Any more is overkill. Would love to see Bowie again. I thought his last record was very good when it came out but on further listening have decided it's a classic. It really grew on me.

I know Vegas isn't the same entertainers graveyard it used to be, but there's still a stigma (deserved or not) associated with becoming a "Vegas Act". I think David is too protective of his image and legacy to potentially harm that. Not that it should, but it could. I can't see him coming out of his reclusive/no interview phase straight into a Vegas phase.

Memo To David Bowie:

DO IT!

@#$%& the "Vegas-stigma", David Bowie on stage in Las Vegas would be @#$%& fantastic. I would go for sure...

Bowie is headlining Glastonbury 2014...according to my 'source' who if I'm fair, has been accurate on previous predictions. Shame I'm not going next year.

Bowie doing a residency might be one of the only reasons I would EVER go to Vegas.

that "stigma" about an "entertainers graveyard" was a load of bullshit then and its a load of bullshit now.

las vegas always had rock and roll bands playing around the city and at different hotel/casinos.

the beatles played the sahara hotel in the early 60's and the doors played the convention center in 1967.throughout the 70's and 80's alot of rock bands played vegas and in the 90's the theater at the old aladdin hotel had bands like pearl jam, stone temple pilots and janes addiction.

and of course the cities most famous "resident" act elvis presley.- the myth is that a fat and washed up elvis was left playing the lounge at the old international hotel, again, total crap.

elvis began doing 2-4 week residency gigs at the international in 1969 when he was far from fat or washed up[he had a #1 single in 73]he was doing 18-20,000 seat arenas the rest of the year and up until the day he died.

santana does a stint at the hard rock and rod and reg of course are at caesers.let me tell you any of those rooms are a GREAT place to see show.

anyone who thinks bowie is above all that is living in an alternate universe. those place hand over the keys to the kingdom to the artists[celine dion has a chopper fly her from her home to the show]and they pay the m.o.n.e.y.

Elvis' decline only became evident in 1974, when he never recorded in that year, and was becoming washed up.

I for one think a residency in Las Vegas would be excellent for Bowie. There's no question that would be a multi date visit for this fan. The new material is fresh and nostalgic at the same time. Great stuff.

It would be great for Bowie and for Vegas, in terms of good publicity regarding resident artists.

Yet, this is the opposite of the pretentious shit like the 42 words album description. Also, I doubt he would be capable of enduring such shows healthwise.

Totally agree for both Bowie and the fans. As for Bowie, no travel. As for fans, as I've posted on previous threads, you can party and not have too worry about driving. A win win for all.
