1978 photo thread

I don't think one exists here, does it?

Fascinating time in band history - one of their hottest albums in history - stripped away all the pomp of '75/'76 - no more preston/brown - small stage - lots of Mick on guitar - they are clearing reacting to punk in a very direct way - the start of weaving in small theater shows - an awesome tour with a bold new attitude: "we are NOT going away"....

from Berenson photography- anaheim - Mick w/ lime

These HB photo threads tend to become epic, really looking forward to see more material. Great start!

Very cool year for the band. And Mick tried to be as skinny as Keith. And Keith was on heroin but started to create the "clean" Keith, as an image and later for real.

Lynn Goldsmith 1978 (who took some of the best pics of the band)

lynn goldsmith did major work on this tour - Anaheim certainly - but in Tucson, the night Linda Ronstatdt came up, she also captured some killer moments -

I love the Anaheim '78 photos. Anaheim 1978 shoulda been my first Stones concert instead of San Diego '81. I caved into peer pressure from my friends and got Boston, Black Sabbath, Van Halen & Sammy Hagar tickets instead which took place about a month later at the stadium. Boston was so boring everybody ran for the exit after 2 songs..

I always liked this one of Keith, from Oakland Coliseum.

And one of Mick and Keith, also from Oakland.

Awesome pics all around!

That black and white one of Mick and Keith is wild, Godxofxrock9. But, what the heck is on Mick's face?

There was a web page that a lot of 1978 photos and reviews, but I can't find it now.
Maybe I posted it here before.
Anyway, that first photo is great. I'm sure that lime was preceded by a few shots of tequila. Man, that was hot day (over 100 degrees).

He sure as hell wasn't healthy in Cleveland in '78. He looked paleish green and ready to puke from withdrawal.

I think his filled diaper has slipped. About the b/w pict, he looks like a midget who force too much. The reason why of the strange diaper in the second picture.
