Probably posted before, but just came across them and figured I'd post em up for anyone who hasn't seen them.

Too bad Weir had to cut mick off on the first solo

Garcia's voice is shot here, tour bug...

Umm ... check out the Dead's 'Round and Round' from 6/16/74 - pretty mind blowing. Can find it on Archive.org. Obviously the Stones have a classic version - this Dead version might change your mind ...

I've heard the Dead's Around and Around and it is boring like most of their work.

I don't think boring and worst cover band ever when I hear this, but different strokes I guess....just thought some people would be interested in seeing mick sit in with them...

It's nothing personal. In fact I've learned to enjoy Jerry as a sideman, on other people's records. Whatever magic is heard by many, many ears, when someone spins a GD disc, I simply don't hear it. In fact, it infuriates me. Go figure. As long as Dead fans understand that playing more of the Dead will not convert me, I'm cool. In fact, I feel that I'm leaving more for the real Dead Heads to hoard. It's a phenomena, I'll give you that. They have an intense, humorously unhumorous fan base. I can't think of another group more unlike the Rolling Stones. But they are what they are, and god bless their fans. smileys with beer

It's interesting how all the Stones are left-handed, and Jimi all of a sudden is right-handed in this video thumbs up

I like the outtake version...

Lets spend the night together starts at 3:23

Like em or hate em, they sure loved the Rolling Stones and play a good amount of tunes they wrote or made famous.

The Dead manage to take a song filled with energy that is about celebration of rock & roll ("the joint was rockin') and turn it into a drowsy hippie dirge. They should have been forbidden by law to cover Chuck Berry.

I'm a big Dead fan but IMHO not a great cover, so I agree there. But this is (in fact the whole album "Fillmore: The Last Days" from 1971 is good):

never heard this version of Johnny B. Goode bythe Dead and its good until they start singing. They have no edge. musically it's good though. they can't do Chuck like Keith!!
