.... is 95-year-old David "Honeyboy" Edwards. He is on tour. You don't hear HIM talking about any "final" concerts, do you? That's because retirement is for pussies.

Pretty heavy schedule. He's all over the place, especially during February.

I'm glad this legend is still around, but bluesmen HAVE to tour to eat. That's why they never retire.

I've heard a little bit of his music on the radio, but didn't realize he was that old. Never knew he played with RObert Johnson - thanx for the cool info.

I don't think B.B. King has to tour to eat.

Upon second thought, "stones78" DOES have a point about old bluesmen needing to keep working in order to pay the bills. Even B.B. King, who makes a lot of money on endorsements, wouldn't make that endorsement money without the high profile he maintains from his constant touring. So I've been wracking my brains, trying to think of examples of very elderly musicians, who are comfortably well-off, and continue to tour, just for the sheer enjoyment they get out of playing in front of an audience. I think I've come up with a couple.

91-year-old Pete Seeger, and 90-year-old Ravi Shankar. Any others?
