Midnight Toker - when the Stones toured the USA in 1969 they were always listening to CCR in their hotel rooms, so you were in good company! And yes "Ramble Tamble" is fantastic, the breakdown in this song always reminds me of the breakdown in "Monkey Man" in a funny way

The single "Wipeout" by the Surfaris in grade seven in 1971. For some reason at the time it was an "underground" hit in my elementary school. I just checked and it was released in 1963!

My first ever 45. Funny in away to think that the record shop had it in stock. It's pretty much impossible to find a CD that's more than three years old in a record store nowadays. But, I haven't actually bought a CD in 10 years!

First cassette I got was The Beatles' A Hard Days Night. When I had my first turntable, in 1981 I think, the first album I bought was Grace Jones' Living My Life. I still listen to it. Great songs and lovely bassplaying by Robbie Shakespeare.

Ladykiller
"The Boss" by Diana Ross

but I bought this album not because the music (I had also no record player to this time). This cover is so f*cking hot! And Diana was so extremly beautiful to that time. About 5 years later, I liked her music too.

Don't discount Upside Down, Mirror and Im Coming OUt....
but I admit, that cover, with her wet, slicked back hair and the white shirt....Diana looked good. even to a 14-year old girl.

Crazy Horses by The Osmonds.

(Flashback!)
No shame RS, that was one of my older sister's first 45s...and I used to rock the air guitar to this song. Great record and I even remember the B-side, Keep on My Side...recorded in Muscle SHoals, written by Joe South.
This is for you Rolling Stone:

Gotta Go Home - Boney M.

1979 - I was 11. All the others were listening to ABBA.
At the end of the year I discovered AC DC, and 1981 finally the Stones.

Been a Stonesman from the beginning.
First album I bought myself was "Bravo The Rolling Stones".
A nice compilation that was released to their triumphant 65 German tour.
