Where are all the rockstar-groupie babies?
Posted by: Squiggle ()

Especially from the sixties when the pill had only just appeared and wasn't always legal, and when abortion often wasn't legal. Surely there should be more than there seem to be? Or are there quite a few running around and we just don't know about them? And if so, I wonder if the fathers know about them.
Has there been any discussion of managers' and secretaries' ways of dealing with the... problem?

Jeordie White (aka Twiggy Rammirez - bas player of Marilyn Manson and A Perfect Circle) is apparently a groupie baby. Some rumors indicate that his father might be Ray Davies.

Interesting topic...there certainly should be some more out there...perhaps many either keeping a low profile or unaware of their "groupie baby" status.

I do know that Lemmy from Motorhead had two kids from two different groupies. In his new documentary he is interviewed with one of his sons and they seem to have a good relationship and have even shared the stage together. I believe he mentioned the other son does not know Lemmy is his father. I would recommend the documentary...it's quite good.

From what I heard so did Hendrix's relatives in the US manage to keep Jimi's son in Sweden out of the will. I saw a picture of the boy (now a man) and he looked exactly like his dad. He and his Swedish mother will not get a red cent from Jimi's estate. Apparently American Lawyers can twist the law in whatever direction!

In Stone Alone, Bill writes about a trip to Adelaide, Australia in Feb 1966: I then had a strange experience when we met up with a crowd of girls we'd hung out with in the city a year earlier. The girl I'd been with was missing and I asked her friend where she was. She replied that after our last encounter she had become pregnant by me, and, not wanting to cause any problems, had moved to New Zealand where she'd given birth to a baby girl and was living happily. I heard nothing from her when we visited New Zealand and to this day have never heard from her again.`

Jeordie White actually looks more like Dave Davies than Ray.

There likely are. And I'm sure he cares just as much about them all as he does for his daughter in NZ.

I see, Edith Grove. So musically you're standing on pretty firm ground then! Even if you, from time to time, are visited by unwelcome guests with strange female names, like Katrina for example!

I guess you could consider Brian's numerous offspring to be rockstar-groupie babies.

Wonder how many boyfriends and husbands got stuck with progeny of their women's dalliances, thinking the kid is theirs?

If Solomon Burke had 21 kids, Mick's got to have tons around the world, wouldn't you think?
